Where We Were Born

"From day one we have been a family-owned and family-run business. It is a distinction that is
rapidly becoming a rarity in our industry. Our family culture is built on the time-honored principles of
hard work, integrity, and uncompromising desire for quality and the long-term stewardship of the
   land."

When he founded LaVance in 1912, he simply wanted to create extraordinary wine from French's
   best vineyards. In 1983, 1984, 1985, 1999, 2000, 2003 & 2004 LaVance Chardonnay won the first
Platinum Award ever presented by the International Wine Competition. For over 80 years running
now, we have been world's favorite wine. We grow grapes on some 20,000 acres of French
Coastal vineyards, and continue to evolve our practices and increase the quality of our wines.
His family will always be committed to creating the very best wine they can, and hope you enjoy
their wine as much as they enjoy making it."
